Content & Community Guidelines

Effective October 30, 2026 · Version 2026-10-30

These rules cover films, series, trailers, artwork, advertisements, account information, and communications with OohVies. Artistic context matters, but no title is exempt from ownership, safety, or legal review. These guidelines do not promise that every submission is reviewed in advance.

Ownership comes first

Submit only material you own or are authorized to license. Supply chain of title, music synchronization and master-use permissions, performer and location releases, archival footage and artwork permissions, and union or guild information as applicable. A copyright registration alone does not establish every clearance. Do not upload links to unauthorized streams, counterfeit ownership records, stolen screeners, or another platform's catalog without permission. Disclose public-domain and fair-use claims for individual review.

Prohibited material and conduct

Delivery and truthful labeling

Provide accurate credits, synopsis, runtime, language, content warnings, and proposed rating. Disclose graphic violence, nudity, sexual themes, self-harm, flashing images, and other relevant sensitivities. Supply usable captions and technically suitable picture and sound. Do not present an informal rating as an official certification. Disclose materially synthetic or altered depictions and required permissions. OohVies may require edits, warnings, adult classification, or removal.

Reports, restrictions, and appeal

Use Report a rights issue for title-specific ownership concerns and Contact for other safety or policy concerns. Include the title, location or timestamp, reason, and supporting information; do not send illegal copies or passwords. We may promptly restrict access while investigating, request records, reject an application, or terminate accounts for serious or repeated violations. Reporters must act honestly. Affected users may request review through Contact. We may decline to disclose information that would compromise privacy, safety, or an investigation.
