Filmmaker Submission Terms

These terms supplement the Terms of Service and Content Guidelines for filmmakers and authorized rights holders.

Authority and evidence

You represent that you are an adult authorized to submit the title, that information and documents are accurate, and that you have all necessary rights for the proposed uses. You must disclose restrictions, conflicting grants, liens, litigation, music and talent obligations, residuals, territories, exclusivity, and expiration dates. Keep originals and promptly notify us if rights change or a claim arises. You remain responsible for payments and clearances you undertake, unless a signed agreement expressly allocates them otherwise.

Review license and distribution agreement

You retain ownership. Submission grants only the limited, nonexclusive permission necessary to securely store, copy for technical processing, and internally review the submitted materials, including use of hosting and review service providers. It does not authorize public distribution or promotion. Public exploitation requires a separately executed agreement identifying the legal parties, title, licensed rights, platforms, territories, term, exclusivity, promotional uses, revenue allocation, permitted deductions, reporting, payment timing, termination, and takedown obligations. General terms and an acceptance checkbox do not replace that agreement. Never sign for someone without authority.

Review and fees

The title submission fee is $19.99, separate from optional promotion and commercial creation. The fee and refund provisions in the Terms of Service apply. OohVies may request additional records, a corrected delivery, captions, or verification, and may reject a submission. Review is not a legal opinion, insurance, certification of title, or guarantee against future claims. Approval requires ownership review, an executed agreement, confirmed payment when due, and picture, sound, and caption checks.

Claims and cooperation

You will promptly provide supporting records and cooperate in resolving claims. We may suspend the affected title during a credible dispute. The business indemnity in the Terms of Service applies to claims caused by your rights violations, false statements, or material breach. OohVies remains responsible for its own nonwaivable legal obligations; no submission transfers all possible copyright liability to you.

Earnings and promotion

No minimum views, ad fill, revenue, or profit is promised. Estimates and demonstration figures are not debts owed. Actual earnings depend on the signed agreement and reconciled eligible transactions; any fraud adjustments or offsets must be authorized and documented. Payment records may document externally completed payments and do not themselves transfer money. Optional film promotion begins at $100 after upload payment is confirmed, applies only to your submitted title, and requires a 15-second commercial or an additional $300 creation order. Advertising Terms and a confirmed order govern delivery.
